The Roostertail Detroit Tee — Garment-Dyed Heavyweight
Detroit, Michigan. Est. 1958.
Some rooms just have it. The Roostertail has had it since 1958 — the water out front, the boats going by, the mid-century lines that never went out of style because they never tried to be in it. This design puts the building where it belongs: on the river, sun low, wooden runabouts throwing wake.
It's printed on a garment-dyed heavyweight — six ounces of 100% cotton, dyed after it's sewn so the color settles in soft and a little faded from the first wear instead of the fiftieth. Relaxed cut, wide ribbed collar, taped neck and shoulders, tear-away label so nothing scratches.
Faded Cream is the right call here. It already looks like it's been yours a while.
If you know, you know. And if you don't, someone at the bar will tell you.
